Natural Form

(2012)

This project was based around the idea of ‘natural form’ and of the question ‘ what is natural form?’

The act of both creating and destroying this work serves to be a interpretation of the creative and destructive forces seen within our planet; most particularly the ocean. The ocean constitutes the majority of the Earths’ surface and is essential towards the ability to create and maintain life. The ocean, however, is also the cause for much loss of life and contains great destructive capabilities. Natural occurrences (such as Tsunami’s, tidal waves and storms) eradicate life almost effortlessly. The act of destroying this work serves as an interpretation of this sublime power of the ocean.
